Celebrate your special day on a sky high adventure at Climbzone. Our birthday parties are adrenaline fueled fun and perfect to enjoy with friends or family.
Our friendly, experienced instructors look after you in small group led sessions of 8, maximising the fun for the participants on each activity, while helping those feeling a bit less brave.
To book a private session, just add all 8 spaces to a booking. We offer a discount of 1 space free per group of 8. This is automatically applied to the basket.
If you have a smaller group, places can be booked individually but you may have other people on the session.
For parties up to 16 participants, we have limited availability during off-peak times . Please get in touch for further information on larger groups.
We recommend that you arrive 10-15 min before the booked sessions starts so that your group can maximise your time slot on the adventures of your choice. Unfortunately, a late start does not mean we can finish your session late as well as other groups will be booked in to start when your slot is supposed to finish.
Before the session can start you will get a form from one of our reception staff to fill in so that we can register the name and age of all participants. If you have bought Big Slide tokens as part of your deal, this could be a good time to use them and get the excitement started.
Your booked time slot includes kitting up- and de-kitting, which usually takes 10-15 min of the allocated time slot.
Once all participants have arrived, the instructor takes the group up to the group room to be kitted out with harnesses and/or climbing shoes depending on what activity they are doing first.
The order of the activities during the session is determined & sometimes limited by how many other groups are booked in at the same time. Weekends are usually very busy and weekday afternoons are less so. If you have booked 2 instructors for more than 8 participants, the 2 groups might not be kept together at all times depending on how busy the centre is.
The instructor keeps their group together and helps everyone climb, swing and balance their way around obstacles like the zip slide, traverse wall, swinging platforms, cargo net, roped bridge and more.
Your instructor also helps the group climb our 11m high climbing wall. Each child is connected to an auto-belay which keeps them safe as they conquer the wall and then this gently lowers them to the ground once ready to return to earth.
With The Drop, the easy part is getting clipped in by the instructor, once at the edge, each child is encouraged to take a deep breath and step off to experience the thrill of 15m high freefall before being slowed to a gentle landing. Almost all children are happy to try this with a bit of encouragement from our instructors.
NB: For safety reasons, parents are not allowed up on the mezzanine level where the climbing takes place or on the top level where the Skypark and The Drop are located. However, all activities can be seen by parents and families from the ground floor where the reception and drop landing area is.
Once the session is over, the group is taken back to the group room to de-kitted before heading back down to the reception area to be collected.

Unfortunately for safety reasons, we cannot allow participants to carry their own cameras on the activities. All your belongings must be secured in a locker. We can’t guarantee photos due to the nature of the activity but we do try to take photos of you on the Skypark. Photos can be viewed and purchased in reception immediately after your session.
Yes, simple add all 8 spaces to your basket on any session to guarantee a private group. The discount is automatically applied. For groups larger than 8 please get in touch to arrange.
To avoid disappointment, we do advise you to book in advance – especially for weekends and during holiday periods. However, there are often spaces available on the day – but these may be limited.
The Big Slide is a drop-in activity with no booking required, just pay £1 per go at the slide or buy our 12 slides for £10 online or when you arrive.
You should arrive about 10/15 minutes before your session starts so you can get signed in and ready to start on time (on weekends/ school holidays you may want to plan to arrive earlier).
Private groups of 8 cost £126 for 1 hour with 2 activities, or £182 for 90 minutes with 3 activities. Slide tokens can be added on to any booking for £10 for 16 tokens.
Your session time includes kitting up and de-kitting. This is roughly 10-15 minutes kitting up and 5 minutes de-kitting. We aim to maximise the time spent on the activity, however, the kitting up and safety briefing is an important part of the session.
To participate in our bookable activities involving the Skypark, Climbing wall or the Drop you have to be aged 7 or over.
The slide has no age restriction but children under 1.1 m in height must be accompanied on the slide by an adult.
